Model children at airport
If only they were like this more often, we might travel on a plane more than once every three years. Mind you, we haven't been on the plane yet. After the journey up, Connah swore off travelling again until Bianca was 5, which is what he said last time we flew, about 3 years ago about Toby.
Holiday pals
JWOC 1993 readers, if there are any, may recognise this rare photo of Kerrie Lesko whom we holidayed with. Actually Kerrie kindly found us an awesome holiday house across the road from the beach, just near her holiday rental. The kids loved playing with Kerrie's kids. Easy peasy holiday.
Beaching
Most of our holiday was spent hanging out on the beach. Jake and friend Lachlan did loads of surfing on boogy boards, Jake is getting quite good. Toby is excellent at splashing in the shadows and Bianca is a total water baby. She loves it.
Unexpected highlight
We've been going to the beach once or twice a day for almost two weeks which has been fabulous though yesterday it was time for a break. We visited the Currumbin wildlife park whose highlights include not only kangaroos, koalas and an enormous Crocodile but the bird feeding. We missed it yesterday but stopped by on the way to Bris this morning. Name was the only child to brave the feeding.
Goodbye Queensland
Today is the last day of a two week holiday on the Gold Coast with a few trips to Brisbane to visit Connah's parents. It's been lovely but has started to rain today so lucky we're going.

First day of Big School for Jake
It's now the last day of term 1 but here is a photo of Jake's first day. We were all very proud and Jake was very brave. The day started with a lovely little assembly where the kids met their buddies again and got their photos taken before heading off to the classroom with the lovely Mrs McDonald. It's been jam packed with a teddy bears picnic, excursion to Cronulla and the Easter hat parade complete with 5 dances. He loves it of course.
Ready for our trip to Hong Kong
"can we get on the plane yet?"
We're at the boarding gates a full 90 mins early and I can't answer that question for the 100th time this hour. Luckily I spent a NUMBER of hours this week setting up iPad with movies and against the odds ( aka my tecnological abilities), I succeeded. He looks 5 going on 15. What a good little fella.

We're off to visit Jakes's good mate Dilan and our good friends Lucie and Neil who moved to Macau a few months ago. Whoooo hooo!!
